I love the way this is set up - the lighting, the building versus sidewalk, and the woman right in the middle. I think it would've been a bit more interesting if that square of light wasn't there, or maybe if it wasn't as bright and eye-stealing from the rest of the image, but I couldn't say for sure, it also seems to give the image a certain amount of intrigue at the same time.

Actualy, the light spot gave me the idea of the image. Waiting for someone to walx in it and place his/her shadow right there... Thank you so much for both detailed comments ! Cheers !

That reminds me... I have a gem on one of my windows, that every day ( that it's not cloudy - which is a LOT over here ) in the afternoon / evening, it casts tiny spectrums ALL over my room, which considering I can some awfully large mirrors in my room also only contributes to the spectacle - and the gem it multi-surfaced, so it acts as multiple prisms... but I WISH I had a working camera because every now and then, when I'm sitting here on my bed either doing computer work, or drawing, or just doing whatever, one of those spectrums will fall right over my face making a perfect profile image of my face on my wall - PLUS I wear glasses, so if I tilt my head a little, the spectrum works through the lenses of my glasses to make a wonderful effect. :3 Someday... someday I hope to get a photo of that!

It's those opportune moments, those very small pockets of time that something is possible - and capturing that specifically timed moment that's so danged rewarding to me when I actually DO take pictures, even if I'm not that great of a photographer yet. ^^;

I hope I'll get to see a photo of this amazing phenomenon you're describing ! And that's right, some pictures depend on such small moments, when the light hits the right thing the right way. This is what makes photography something nearly mystical !
